The ASP director is responsible for the overall operations of Associated Students Productions, including training, supervising and evaluating ASP staff, facilitating interoffice communication, acting as liaison between the ASP and other AS and VU offices, and generally ensuring that programming is of high quality and meeting the needs of Western students.

The director also sponsors a poster sale at the start of each quarter in order to fund the ASP administrative budget for the year.
