Classical Ballet Club

The Classical Ballet Club is dedicated to developing appreciation of classical ballet at WWU and the surrounding area. This includes promoting participation in classical ballets performed at WWU and the communities serviced by WWU. Ballet dancers are especially encouraged to join, although all those who love classical ballet are welcome. We are seeking to foster a culture at WWU that is knowledgable and appreciative of classical ballet.

Dark Side Printmakers Society

For too long printmaking has been a marginalized artistic medium. Our goal is to promote appreciation of printmaking as a primary artistic medium. In forming a club for printmaking we hope to advocate resources to obtain lectures from visiting printmakers, as well as produce funds to aid in student participation in scholarly endeavors and travel related to the advancement of the medium.

"F yeah: Let's be professional artists" is a club that concentrates on strengthening the local art community at WWU. We are dedicated artists who understand the importance of dialogue within the art community, and will create an open space for artists to show their work and receive feedback. Through the use of critiques, trips to Seattle's first Thursday art walks, and Philadelphia's Society of Photographic Educators (SPE) conference we will help each other strengthen our work and promote it in the community.

New Music New Dance

New Music New Dance provides an environment for student dancers and musicians to work on their skills as choreographers, composers, and performers through collaboration and creation. Western Sound System Federation

Although the music community in Bellingham is strong, thriving and vibrant, there is a great desire for more diversity and eclecticism in the range of events and programming brought to town. The goal of the Western Sound System Federation is to satisfy this desire--to bring performers and organize events that promote a cross-cultural pollination of ideas and traditions through music. We are a group of students dedicated to the communicative power of music and strive to put on events that will not only entertain, but expand the knowledge of the audience and the diversity of the community--both that of Western Washington University and the city of Bellingham at large.

WWU Glee Club

The purpose of this club is to create an opportunity for students who are interested in show choir and sharing their talent and skillls in singing, dancing, choreography, directing and composing with their fellow students and the WWU and Bellingham community, with the ultimate goal of performing on campus. Any and all profits from events will benefit a charity, with special interest on charities that foster a love of music and theater arts in young people.
